Dismantling the Partnership

John Lewis 1 - 4 Dutch Lions FC

This was hugely satisfying result for the lions. We were determined to start this campaign where we finished off last year and winning this game in the manner we did proves that we have achieved just that.

Our squad is larger and richer than ever and our quality on the bench today was key today. It was without doubt a great squad performance. I thought Julian was magnificent, his close control and coolness was amazing to watch. Keep up the good work Mr Marshall. As part of the defense today I thought we communicated really well and apart few a few lapses we where untroubled. 2 Goals from the “Pughster”, 1 each from Ajjour Junior and Last years top scorer Paulo but us well out in front of John Lewis.

The opposition did manage to grab a consolation via a penalty conceded by Mr Jones. To be fair the pen. taker took his chance suburb and gave Aaron no chance with a top right and corner spot kick.

Peter came so close to scoring a cracker from the corner of the box when he whipped in a shot into the opposite corner but there keeper made a fine one handed save from nowhere to parry it away. I was delighted with the whole performance today and playing on what must be one of the best pitches in this division really suited our game.

Next week we have Sudbury & Hayes Park AWAY in the 1st round of the FA Junior Trophy.
Keep up the great work boys.
